About
The Shanghai Student Film Festival was founded in 2008 to give students an opportunity to showcase their work in the world of film and television. Whether it’s doing work in an art/drama class or cobbling together a film using your friends and family members, S2F2 is a great chance for students from both Shanghai and the entire region to showcase their talents in front of an audience of their peers and professionals. Our mission is to create a space for students that is cross cultural in scope and global in reach, for students to share their video projects and exchange new ideas.
This year, the Shanghai Student Film Festival will take place at Shanghai Community International School’s Puxi Campus on April 23rd, 2010. We will be celebrating the works of high school, middle school, and elementary school students in a wide variety of categories that represent both creative and technical merit. In addition, we will be offering workshops at that time for students involved in the festival to help them improve their expertise at filmmaking or just to learn something new about being creative.
If you or your school would like to be involved in the Shanghai Student Film Festival, we encourage you to contact us! We are looking for students and teachers who are passionate about filmmaking and eager to get their work out there for others to see. We can send you a welcome packet or answer any questions that you might have about the festival.
